The Paper Lab is initiating a special program in our new studio  in Berlin.

In the wonderful space of Atelier  - Mitte we will create an paper workshop hub open to research under the concept of self-topography on paper

Welcome to The Paper Lab, an open space workshop where we believe that paper is not just a material, but a concept to be explored and experimented with. We offer a unique opportunity to delve deep into the world of paper and discover its transformative power through our in-person workshops. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, we provide a safe and open space for personal guidance and accompaniment as you develop your own unique creative vision.

Our workshops focus on sculptural techniques with paper and mixed media to bring your creative visions to life. With our founder, Guy, as your guide, you'll explore a variety of techniques related to working with paper and discover new ways of thinking about and working with this versatile medium. Guy's creative process is inspired by nature and a fascination with different materials, and he encourages participants to ask questions and develop their own unique language to use in their creative work.

At The Paper Lab, we value in-depth familiarity with paper and personal expression in the material. We work in a variety of techniques and offer a laboratory-style approach that allows all participants to be in a personal process and process their inspiration, ideas, and images with the support of our team. Through experimentation, we learn to connect different layers of time and composition, explore the layers and subtleties that reflect the process unique to you, and create an authentic manuscript in the material.

Our laboratory is open to artists from any field with an attraction to internal research and creation in paper and the world of materials close to it. We believe in simplicity, logic, and hard work as the main foundations for the creative process, and we expose participants to these principles in our workshops. You will receive tools to develop your own language and personal approach to the material, release your creative power, and expand your toolbox and access to the materials. Join us at The Paper Lab and let's explore the endless possibilities of paper together in a physical space.

In The Paper Lab, we explore the versatile world of paper through a range of exciting themes.

Our workshops include 3D paper making with recycled and natural fibers, paper installations, paper processing using a sewing machine, embroidery, weaving paper, fibers and textiles on paper, collage, self-typography on paper, and even costume design using paper.

Our goal is to inspire and guide participants in discovering the transformative power of paper and help them develop their own unique creative vision using this incredible medium. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, we welcome you to join us and discover the endless possibilities of paper!

The workshop fee for our in-person workshops is 75 euro for every session you choose to join, lasting 6 hours with a short break.

This fee includes half hour personal introductory meeting on Zoom, where we will get to know each other, discuss your goals and interests, and plan the right training for you. During this meeting, we will also draw up a work plan tailored to the number of sessions you sign up for. Our aim is to provide you with personalized guidance and support throughout your creative journey with us.

Before signing up for the workshop, we encourage you to contact us with any relevant questions or for further information. We want to ensure that this workshop is the right fit for you and that you have all the information you need to get the most out of the experience.
